David Olson is a mental health entrepreneur with a background in Clinical Psychology. For years, he struggled with the pain of pathological anxiety and insecurity in his own life. In college, as he studied the patterns behind anxiety in textbooks and applied the most effective known treatments, he found that his emotions and lifestyle fundamentally shifted.
David’s personal experiences moved him to develop a deep passion for mental health and a desire to share the most effective treatments with anyone hurting or interested in learning these concepts. Anxious to Unshakeable is the result: a practical, honest guide to understanding your anxiety type — and building the inner foundation to overcome it.
David lives in beautiful Nampa, Idaho. When he isn’t working, you’ll probably find him hanging out with friends at a local taco restaurant or out in the beautiful forests of Idaho City with family. David has a wide variety of interests, including applications of AI, exercise and lifting, entrepreneurship, investing, and publishing. His two favorite leisure activities are playing League of Legends with friends and watching YouTube videos about ancient civilizations.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Perhaps just as important as his clinical training is his own personal experience overcoming pathological anxiety — and helping his clients overcome their pathological anxiety patterns as well.
Anxious to Unshakeable was published in October 2025 and is available on Amazon. The book was designed to help individuals who know that they have elevated levels of anxiety, but aren’t sure what to do about it. The layout explains what pathological anxiety is first, provides readers with the psychological tools that therapists use to help clients overcome pathological anxiety near the front of the book, and then explains the different types of pathological anxiety that therapists treat in the hospital and clinical setting.
Throughout the book there are questions for reflection and journaling, to help facilitate learning and internalization of the most important concepts. There are also numerous case studies — stories about individuals who have overcome pathological anxiety in their lives. Whether you are struggling with elevated levels of anxiety from the stress of everyday life or trapped in a seemingly endless spiral of pathological anxiety, you will find helpful tools, exercises, and stories that will help give you more control over your emotional state. The goal, however, isn’t to live a life without stress or anxiety — it’s to live a life unshaken by it.
